Motorola Droid X2

Word on the street is that the Motorola Droid X2 is about to get another one of those update "soak tests" from Motorola, wherein a few volunteers agree to play guinnea pig. No idea what's in the update, but the mssage from Motorola is the usual.

Droid X2 prepping for another update

I wonder if this is the 2.3.5 update that has been floating around for months. I hope they fix the blatant issues with the DX2. It has so much potential but is riddled with bugs. Unfortunate.

Meh. The Milestone X2 (generic DX2) has been on 2.3.6 for a while now, and it's still an anemic and buggy pile of junk.

Makes me curious as to what is coming out as i'd hate for them to lock to bootloader like they just did to the Droid X.

Yeah I scatched my head in that one. That bootloader was locked on day one. Not sure what that guy was talking about.

But as an X2 user myself...
Just fix the G.. DAMN BATTERY BUG Moto!

OK got it out of my system.

Please for the love of all that is Holy, FIX the battery bug, the black screen bug, the camera not starting bug, the music stuttering bug, the random reboots, the MTP glitches, the wallpaper glitches... And those are just the start.

You guys should root and install the liberty rom.
I have no single issue with the phone since I have done so. No glitches on my DX2!

Is this update official yet? I tried going to settings, about phone, update today and it says my phone is up to date. I thought this changelog was posted on Verizon's website already. Has anyone got the official update? If not, any update on when? I believe the soak test email went out over a week ago. Seems the official release should have happened by now.
