Discovery Networks — the umbrella company of such channels as the eponymous Discovery Channel and TLC — today announced that it's brought its suite of content to Sling TV. (Sling, by the way, is the biggest streaming service in the United States.) The channels are split between the Sling Orange and Sling Blue plans, with a few more scattered among a few of the a la carte add-ons.
Here's what you need to know:
- Sling Orange gets Investigation Discovery, and MotoTrend (which used to be known as Velocity).
- Sling Blue gets Discovery Channel, TLC, and Investigation Discovery,
- The Heartland Extra gets American Heroes Channel, and Destination America.
- The News Extra gets Science Channel.
- Best of Spanish TV extra gets Discovery en Español, and Discovery Familia.
Sling Orange and Sling Blue each cost $25 a month when purchased separately, or you can get them both for $40 a month. The Heartland and News Extras each are $5 a month, and the Best of Spanish TV Extra is $10 on its own, or $5 if you also have Sling Orange or Sling Blue, or if combined with any other Spanish-language regional service.
Sling TV is available, well, pretty much everywhere, including Android and Android TV, iOS and Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Xbox, and more.
