Singles Day kicks off with flash sales on OnePlus 6 and Poco F1

November 11 is Singles Day, a Chinese holiday where young people celebrate their pride in being single and unattached. As an ace, this is a holiday I can get behind, but whether you're single, married, or it's complicated, the only thing you really need to know is that it brings huge deals from global online retailers.

There are a lot of deals out there to scour, but GearBest's phone deals were hard to miss, as they may be the best discounts we've seen so far this year.

GearBest has a number of phones, tablets, drones, robot vacuums and other technological oddities on flash sales today, including the OnePlus 6 at $390 (opens in new tab)! The OnePlus 6T launched last week, but the OnePlus 6 is still a pretty darn good phone that was selling for over $500 less than 3 weeks ago.

The version GearBest is selling is the Mirror Black 6GB RAM/ 64 GB ROM International version, and while this 'flash sale' has less than 10 hours left on it, there's less than 400 still available. I foresee them being snapped up before dawn, so don't sleep on it.

GearBest also has the Poco F1 down to $310 (opens in new tab) for the 6 GB RAM, 128 GB ROM model. This phone is a pretty incredible value, and the only problems we found with it in our full review were a lack of water resistance, an average camera, and no NFC. This is an unlocked worldwide model, and while there aren't very many of the Graphite Black color left, the Slate Blue and Red versions still have plenty in stock.

When we pitted the OnePlus 6 and Poco F1 against each other, the F1 came out on top, but these are both great deals if you're looking for an early Christmas present for a loved one — or for yourself! Singles Day is about celebrating pride in yourself, and you deserve a reward, don't you?

  • It's what day, now? It's November 11, 100 years since the end of WW1. Better say something about that than mentioning a dubious holiday for single people.
Everything on this site is about advertising revenue ( link to deals).
  • +1
  • What's more said is that Americans typically miss the entire spirit of armistice day. Today, and especially on the centennial anniversary, we should always, always remember; Nationalism and isolationism completely betray true patriotism. This is something we really need to think about in this climate.
  • Oh please, now isolation one could argue is a bad. And I believe it's not in are best interests to be.. Nationalism has been twisted by the SJW......they use it it to stifle debate... Plus veteran day is a "national" holiday where "some" take pride in our past and present service members...I guess if that makes me a nationalist so be it... Also I would like to thank all are troops past and present I salute you.... Retired Army First sergeant..........
  • 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month... armistice day... That's what I'm talking about. The end WWI. This has nothing to do with SJW, more misdirection from the conservative playbook. This is about our current leadership being reminded that where ever they go, they represent all our fallen, and are responsible to our future generations.
  • Oh plz
  • Very mature.
  • I'm not even a conservative I'm a libertarian both parties are useless the only difference between a Republican and a Democrat in the house and the Senate is gun control and abortion they both believe in spending other people's money
  • I don't see what that had to do with the end of the Great War being 100 years ago today, and the idea that now more than ever we are reminded of the atrocities that happened during that hell on earth, which nationalism was a huge part of.
  • ...........
  • Singles day isn’t celebrated here but is a huge shopping day like Black Friday is here. And I am married to and come from a family of veterans. I find no disrespect with them literally doing their jobs.
  • "Dubious"? Why is it dubious? I see you fall into the category of people who think other countries all have to live the way you do. Good to know.
  • Is GearBest even a reliable site? All kinds of comments online say that if something goes wrong with the shipping or product you're screwed.
  • They are hit and miss.. for the most part they're not bad...
  • Use PayPal.
  • "The version GearBest is selling is the Mirror Black 6GB RAM/ 64 GB ROM International version" The A6000 is China version missing North America Bands and comes with Hydrogen OS without Google Apps rather than Oxygen OS on the international version. Be careful on what to you write because people might jump into buying a phone that won't work in their country and it's hard to return it on websites like Gearbest
  • OnePlus probably makes it easy to flash over to Oxygen OS, but still should be noted in the article. That being said, the A6000 DOES have all the 3G and 4G bands a US buyer would need (no Sprint and Verizon obviously, but that's also true of the US variant). The Pocophone, on the other hand, actually lack all of the key US bands for LTE on AT&T and T-Mobile. That's fine if you don't care about LTE -- you'll get 3G everywhere -- but definitely something that should be pointed out by the writer.
