OnePlus teases an announcement for April 20

OnePlus took to Google Plus today to post an image saying "You're Invited" to something on April 20, but we aren't quite sure what that something might be. Along with the image, the company says "From here on out, anything could happen." It's possible that we could get a look at this year's follow up to the OnePlus One, the OnePlus Two. However, it was revealed earlier this week that that device is pegged for a third quarter release date.

In any case, we'll know much more when whatever OnePlus has in store is revealed on April 20.

  • Did you need an invite to get an invite? Posted via the Android Central App
  • No, the invites are invites only from people who are invited.
  • I'm only hear to see what NoNexus has to say

  • An invite to announce a phone that will be released next month that you won't be able to buy till November. Posted via the Android Central App
  • That will have serious hardware issues that they won't acknowledge and they'll delete any comments about. Posted from my Droid Turbo, Kelly and Ozone
  • Never had hardware issues with mine. No yellow screen. Just two day battery life and no lag. Was pretty great actually. Excited to see what they do with the next version. Maybe they could do the next Nexus, they sell about the same amount, with the same supply issues. Posted via the Android Central App on my 5.1 X Pure
  • I believe hardware issues were mostly from first batches. Regretfully I was one of the lucky ones to get an invite the month they started to sell. They took a lot of time to fix those issues but now with CM12 it's working nicely. Believe me it was unusable at first (coming from an S4 with excellent touch panel was no help). If you take apart that and the invite-gate it is a pretty awesome phone and for a really good price. All the ones that ask to check my phone say it's fast and beautiful. I still think it's a little big and I believe 5' is the right size for me (the S4 size). I still think I will go for a Motorola or a SONY next. Samsung is out of the question, nothing but bad experiences after the masterful S2. I even put an unofficial 5.1 on it and it's awesome how well it works.
  • This would explain why I just received 4 invites... Posted via the Android Central App
  • I'm done with their hype. Just deliver my software updates and we're good Posted via...The One
  • Indeed. All I want now is the bump to 5.1, though the CM12 update has treated me well so far. Posted via Oneplus.. For now.
  • At least you got CM12. Still waiting...4 days later.
  • Just side load the OTA zip in the stock recovery. That's how I got it.
  • Yup. 5.1 and then whatever is next. I had to sideload cos12. Got tired of waiting for the ota. But I will say, no problems at all. 5.0.2 runs smooth and I'm seeing BETTER battery life, with all the lollipop hate, I didn't expect that lol. Posted via...The One
  • Nice to hear.........any wake issues with Google Play Service? Posted via the Android Central App with my OnePlus One.
  • None that I've seen so far though it's only been 2 days Posted via...The One
  • 10-4, thanks. Posted via the Android Central App
  • I don't suppose you have a step by step for someone who knows absolutely nothing about doing this, do you? Love to upgrade but the OTA isn't happening for me for some reason.
  • I had OTA the day CM12 was released. Some people were asking me how I got it so early. I guess I was among the first batches. Battery life has improved considerably for me as well, and buttery smooth as you say. No complaints so far. Posted via Oneplus One.. For now.

  • Nice!
I wonder how the "OnePlus One Plus One More" will look like...
  • I've had no hardware problems at all with my One Plus. The delays due to certification delays are out of One Plus's hands. They know better next time than to set dates that depend on Google. The only problems I've had are due to Google removing the 'busy' field from the Calendar which messes up Agent (switched Calendars) and bugs in CM12... some I filled reports on, others I up-voted. I'm in no hurry for 12.1 unless it contains the bugfixes. Don't rush it, do it right! And I'm not a casual user. I keep this thing pretty damn busy. The only thing that might keep me away from future OnePlus products is CM biting the hand that feeds them (Google) and whoring themselves to the evil empire (Microsoft). However, I can still buy OnePlus hardware with Oxygen and then load it with a new ROM. I'll likely be using custom ROMs on my OnePlus One in the near future.
  • Is it the date lollipop will finally have rolled out to all their phones? Posted on my OnePlus One
  • Free weed and phones for everyone!!!!
  • It'll be funny if they went on stage high given the date they chose lol
  • Probably just no need for an invite. Which should calm some people down. Enjoy everyone. Its a great phone. For the best price. Still. Posted via the Android Central App on my 5.1 X Pure
