This is the lowest price we've seen for an unlocked BlackBerry Priv!

If you have been waiting for the price to drop below $300 to pick up a BlackBerry Priv, your time has come. Right now, you can pick one up at eBay for just $299 (opens in new tab), which is the lowest we have seen it yet.

Before you really dive in, it needs to be noted that this is an unlocked AT&T model, but the listing is for a brand-new unit. Looking at the ad, it's the exact same retailer who was selling them previously for as high as $380.

Also keep in mind, the device will come with Lollipop loaded but Android Marshmallow is in beta right now for AT&T users through the BlackBerry Beta Zone, so official release isn't far off meaning, there's less 'risk' in being stuck on Lollipop now when purchasing an unlocked AT&T model.

  • Even for $250, I wouldn't buy it Posted via the Android Central App
  • Why not? Can you elaborate? Only because it seemed to get good reviews and looked at as BlackBerry's possible game changer when it first came out but being overpriced turned people off. Posted via the Android Central App
  • Yeah I would like for you to elaborate as well. I have asked on a few sites why a person would not buy this and this this I only get "i wouldnt buy it". This seems like a very good price for a flagship phone that is only a year old. This has to be better than the 5X Nexus.
  • I'd say the 5X is a better buy, especially with it being $269 at the moment for the 32GB on eBay. Better price, the hardware is good, and the software support will be a lot better. The Priv is a nice choice if someone really plans on putting the keyboard to use. Posted via the Android Central App
  • The 5X is probably a good phone being Nexus but I find it's bare bones in terms of hardware (if you're okay with that sort of thing) ... so-so camera, no SD slot, smallish battery ... compared to something like the Priv, so at $269, it's the right price.
  • It has a better camera than the Priv and will get timely Android updates (I mean system updates in addition to monthly security patches). It is mid June and the Priv is just now getting MM. Posted via my glorious Nexus 6P
  • My Priv's security patch is the June version too. Posted via the Android Central App
  • 5x has better camera than the priv, same processor. The priv was way overpriced from the get go, no wonder it isn't selling.
  • The hardware and build quality are really bad. It overheats, it creaks and rattles and it just feels bad in the hand all around. When it overheats you lose battery like it's going out if style. There is other good options at this price range. Posted via unlocked S7 Active on T-Mobile
  • I have to agree, for one thing it has a very weak front camera. In the android ecosystem there's a lot better for less Posted via the Android Central App
  • It did get good reviews. Seems like a good device to me. Posted via the Android Central App
  • It's not completely horrible but I would barely qualify it as good. I think the reviews were good mainly because people want Blackberry to succeed and because they were given a bit of a pass since this is a gen 1 device and because they have a history of making good hardware. • meh, 5x is future proof than the outdated priv
  • And by future proof, you mean no later than September 2017.
  • Would this work on sprints network? Posted via the Android Central App
  • No. Posted via unlocked S7 Active on T-Mobile
  • It would be a great price to buy it, but since I'm used to my Note stylus.. I'll wait for the next BlackBerry...if it ever comes and if it's not as overpriced as the Priv was Posted via my Note 4, missing bb10...
  • I never understood why people thought it was overpriced. The note that you're using was as much or more brand new.
  • For the specs at the time it released and quality of device and brand name, it was overpriced. Posted via my glorious Nexus 6P
  • I've never handled or used one, so I don't have a horse in this race. But I feel that with what I've read, and how the specs do still feel flagship me, it was fair. If I wasn't trying to buy off contract, I would have purchased one. I just didn't have $700 to drop on it right then. If it was the T-Mobile one, and I had $300, I'd probably go for it right now. I'd love to use a physical keyboard again.
  • The Priv was $700 and had a SD808! Any other flagship in that price range had a SD810. Worse, 8 months after Marshmallow was released it's still no where to be seen for the Priv. I'd like a physical keyboard on an Android phone again but one with bigger keys that slides out in landscape.
  • I've had marshmallow on the Priv for a while and there are no heating issues and it seems to be getting the fastest security updates on the market so I wonder where y'all getting your info from. Obviously not Priv users. I would take it over a nexus 5 anyday! Posted via the Android Central App
  • I WAS a Priv user for about a month and a half. It overheated and battery went down the tube when that happened. It's not isolated incidents either. Priv users dealing with heat issues abound on the forums. Posted via unlocked S7 Active on T-Mobile
  • That's a SD808 issue, same thing happens to me on my Moto X PE Posted via the Android Central App
  • It's a great deal, the only thing against the device might that it's difficult to know whether Blackberry is really staying in the Android world or even if the company itself will last long enough to make us worth buying their services. Otherwise the device itself is great. Posted via the Android Central App
  • It's not worth $200, IMO.
  • Why?
  • Retinella probably thinks that based on the whole Playbook debacle. Since this has taken a steep tumble in price it sure won't hold any value (not that tech holds much value as is). Posted via unlocked S7 Active on T-Mobile
  • Soon they'll be begging people to take them off their hands. $99 from outletmall.com or whatnot.
  • $299.00 Should have been the starting price maybe? Megsh said that phone would not be purchased even if priced at $250.00 which leads me to believe that he/she has no idea about ANYTHING...
  • Verizon Priv is still 720 dollars :( Posted via the Android Central App
  • Exactly... Where is the cheap Verizon version? Posted via the Android Central App
  • Dont ships to Mexico..... what a bummer... The ironic part is that the PRIV is manufactured in México and the mexican carriers are not selling any! Posted via the Android Central App
  • Blame Trump.
  • +100000 LOL
  • The hardware looks to me to be a bargain at $300. Where else can you get a 2k screen, 3GB ram, SD card slot, 3400mah battery, and both fast charging and wireless charging for this kind of money? I was very tempted a month ago at $400. I snapped and ponied up my credit card today. And, since PayPal was the payment method, I get 6 months 0% financing. That's only $50 a month. • Nice!
  • People like me love it .. blackberry fans since 2008.... blackberry is fr a differnt set of ppl.. either its oders vs blackberry ...whi like keyboard and all... CORE fr life.. Posted via the Android Central App
