LG Optimus Sol press images revealed, looks like another stylish mid-range phone from LG

Press shots for the LG Optimus Sol have leaked out, and while it's not going to be a groundbreaking device in the specs department, LG is delivering some very clean lines and a nice looking Android handset with this one.  Rumored to have a 1GHz single core CPU, front and rear cameras, Wifi direct, and LG's first AMOLED display checking in at 3.8 inches, it should be a solid performer.  After seeing these press photos, it looks like LG is following the trend they began with the Optimus Black, and offering a phone that looks as good as it runs.  No unsightly bumps or bulges, no NASCAR-esque labels and graphics plastered all over the back, and no big protruding buttons.

While there's no word on when or where we may be seeing this one, it will certainly appeal to those who are looking for Android power in a sexy shell.

  • Ugh...another phone that looks like an iPhone.
  • How because it is black and has rounded corners? I mean this doesn't really look like an iphone. Then again every phone looks like an iphone according to apple.
  • Not only because it's black and has rounded corners, but the earpiece speaker grill is the same shape, the front-facing camera is in the same place, and the screen is horizontally centered - there is an equal amount of bezel both above and below the screen. Face it, this phone looks almost identical to an iPhone 4.
  • I think apple has a patent on people saying "...another phone that looks like an iphone". Becareful....
  • Ugh. No search button.
  • @Gator Or, they have special tracking software that detects that sentence to shorten the time it takes to whip up a court case. But still, its a nice looking phone for the average Joe. Go LG!
  • when just about all the buttons are soft buttons how can you really change the look of the phone except color and put more hard buttons on back. So judging a phone solely on its looks really makes no sense its whats under the hood that makes it different. also the ui but that can be easily changed.
  • Looks kinda like a Samsung Focus
  • Replace the optimus V with this Virgin Mobile please then you have a day one buy!
  • it's very galaxy-esque... minus the search button. I'm kinda waiting to see if anyone can come up with a design that is not a black slab... maybe someday someone will use those indestructible screens and make a flip phone with a full size touch screen.
  • Why do that LG phones seem to have too much of bezel? Or is it just me?
