One of the world's most popular time-wasters, Candy Crush Saga, has made its way to the Amazon Appstore. Releasing today (October 15) for select countries, the title will be available everywhere starting October 17.
Besides the myriad of Android phone and tablets with the Amazon Appstore installed — which will all have access to Candy Crush Saga — the game will also be made available for all Kindle Fire tablets including the new Kindle Fire HDX line.
The game is free, and should be identical to it's Google Play and iOS counterparts. If you're looking to get a little tasty with your Kindle Fire, look for it in the Appstore. The full press release is after the break.
KING’S CANDY CRUSH SAGA MAKES KINDLE FIRE DEBUT
The world’s sweetest game is set to launch across all Kindle Fire devices, including the brand new Kindle Fire HDX
LONDON, NEW YORK: 15 October 2013: King, the world’s leading casual games company, today announces the impending arrival of global phenomenon, Candy Crush Saga, on the Amazon Appstore. Launching as a free download in selected territories today, the game is set for worldwide release on 17 October across a range of Kindle Fire devices, including the much anticipated new Kindle Fire HDX.

And now, Kindle Fire users across the globe will also be able to enter this deliciously sweet and colourful world, where they will be challenged to mix and match sweets in a combination of three of more and gain points and bonuses as they progress. With over 400 challenging levels to enjoy, players will be able to seamlessly synchronise their progression across a number of devices via Facebook, allowing users to play anytime, anywhere.
“We’ve had such positive feedback from players regarding King’s first Kindle Fire title, Bubble Witch Saga, that we now feel the time is right to bring Candy Crush Saga to Kindle Fire fans,” said Tommy Palm, Games Guru at King. “The Kindle Fire is a great device with which to enjoy the Candy Crush Saga gameplay and, with levels regularly added by the King team, we hope to keep Kindle Fire owners entertained every day.”
