KING’S CANDY CRUSH SAGA MAKES KINDLE FIRE DEBUT

The world’s sweetest game is set to launch across all Kindle Fire devices, including the brand new Kindle Fire HDX

LONDON, NEW YORK: 15 October 2013: King, the world’s leading casual games company, today announces the impending arrival of global phenomenon, Candy Crush Saga, on the Amazon Appstore. Launching as a free download in selected territories today, the game is set for worldwide release on 17 October across a range of Kindle Fire devices, including the much anticipated new Kindle Fire HDX.

Candy Crush Saga is currently one of the most irresistible games in the world, with over 53 million daily players (AppData, Sept 2013).  And now, Kindle Fire users across the globe will also be able to enter this deliciously sweet and colourful world, where they will be challenged to mix and match sweets in a combination of three of more and gain points and bonuses as they progress.  With over 400 challenging levels to enjoy, players will be able to seamlessly synchronise their progression across a number of devices via Facebook, allowing users to play anytime, anywhere.

“We’ve had such positive feedback  from players regarding King’s first Kindle Fire title, Bubble Witch Saga, that we now feel the time is right to bring Candy Crush Saga to Kindle Fire fans,” said Tommy Palm, Games Guru at King. “The Kindle Fire is a great device with which to enjoy the Candy Crush Saga gameplay and, with levels regularly added by the King team, we hope to keep Kindle Fire owners entertained every day.”

“We are thrilled that King is bringing their extremely popular title Candy Crush Saga to the Amazon Appstore and across the entire line up of Kindle Fire tablets, including the new Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HDX,” said Aaron Rubenson, Director of Amazon Appstore. “All Kindle Fire tablet owners can now explore the sweet and colourful world of Candy Crush Saga, giving customers even more ways to engage with one of their favorite games.”

Candy Crush Saga will launch in selected territories on the Amazon Appstore on 15th October, then worldwide on 17th October. Free to download and play, it will be available across all generations of the Kindle Fire, including the recently announced Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HDX tablets.
