Best Buy offering the Huawei Watch for $250

The Huawei Watch, has gotten a $100 price cut this week over at Best Buy for the stainless steel and black leather version, bringing it down to $250 (opens in new tab) from it's normal $350. We've seen a number of deals on this watch lately, but this is one of the steepest discounts we have seen so far.

If you've been on the fence about getting this watch for yourself, it's still topping our Best Android Wear smartwatches list, and even if you're not a huge fan of the black leather (though the band here is by no means bad), the bands on the Huawei Watch are easy to swap out for your favorite 22 mm band. It's also two weeks to Father's Day, should you be looking for something to get your old man.

  • All of the models at best buy are $100 off. The Gold options are $150 off. Posted via the Android Central App
  • I've been using this watch since shortly after it came out. I love it, but the charger is driving me crazy. Over time, it gets more and more fiddly and difficult to get the watch seated properly on the charger. Its annoying to have to charge a watch every night but goes with the territory of AW and is worth it. But it's another thing when you have to fiddle with it for a few minute each time before it actually starts charging. Personally at this point I'd go for the Moto 360 2015 42mm if only for the Qi charger. Posted via the Android Central App
  • At this point we can't be that far off from the 2016 Moto 360, can we? Hopefully that picks up a speaker and built-in GPS.
  • There has been no rumors for that. Considering Lenovo s direction for the x to Z we shouldn't expect a new Moto 360. I just want a decent watch like the 360 with a speaker. I personally don't need the GPS but i respect those that want it. Posted via the Android Central App
  • I loved the idea of the speaker and was excited when it was enabled on the Huawei, but I've used it once in all that time. I can easily live without it. Posted via the Android Central App
  • Still too expensive for a watch...
I paid 200 for my Lg G Watch square... and now it won,t get Android Wear 2.0...........
  • That POS square shouldn't. Time to upgrade. Posted via the Android Central App
  • I don't know man, I had a HUATCH about 5 months ago and sold it. Yesterday, I gave up and got a Gear S2 Classic to pair with my Note 5. I don't really love Samsung, but damn if their hardware isn't top notch. I know, I hate S-Voice as much as everyone, but as a good looking watch with long battery, a stunning display and notifications/voice replies (primarily Whatsapp) it's fantastic. As long as it dictates my voice replies accurately (which it does) that's all that I really care about regarding S-Voice. Picked it up barely used for $189. I find the evil Tizen and Samsung come together to equal a highly functional and attractive watch. The Huawei was just too thick and Android Wear, as pure and wonderful as it may be, is way too swipe crazy. I never really loved it whereas I'm seriously digging the S2 Classic. For what it does, it does these things very well. I don't need 348 apps on my watch. I need it to be a professional looking (not nerdy) watch first, have good battery life and let me interact with notifications easily. Passes with flying colors. YMMV.
  • I owned the S2 Classic when it first came out and I could never get Gmail emails to show up on the watch. I had to use Samsungs own email app. I hated that. Did they fix this? I liked the watch otherwise.
  • Well your reply buzzed my Gmail on my S2 while driving earlier, so I'd say yes, as long as the sender is prioritized in Gmail (i.e. important or whatever).
  • I've tried the S2 twice (the 2nd time after the major software update they released) and just couldn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to. I found it required me to be too proactive to do anything compared to AW, which is a lot more proactive. The penalty of that proactivity is more swiping away, but since you can swipe any notification twice to the left and permanently block it from appearing again, the only really annoying ones are the number of steps and calendar ones which seem to pop-up more than they should. Anyway, the S2 is very nice. And YMDV. I guess it depends on your use case. Posted via the Android Central App

  • 42mm band? That's bigger than the watch! :)
  • lol I was wondering about that! Posted via the Android Central App
  • I know he meant 22mm but I had a flashback to the 70s styles :)
  • She. You know what SHE meant. And if they made it into a cuff that fit properly, I'd wear the ever loving hell out of it. Oh yeah, fixed!
  • Yes, that would be a big bracelet. :-) Posted via the Android Central App
  • I was interested in this watch until I saw the floor model at my local Best Buy. Terrible screen burn-in.
  • Just like any amoled display with the screen on at full brightness 24/7 you mean? Give me a break. Posted via the Android Central App
  • Seriously, everyone with the amoled burn in concerns needs to listen to people who own devices with these screens that are not in store displays. As I mentioned above, I've had this watch since pretty much day 1. There is zero screen burn in. The screen changes from active to passive modes when you're not looking at it all the time. The odds of this watch getting burn in with real life use are astronomically low. The same is true of modern amoled phones. It burn in was such an issue, Samsung wouldn't be doing so well not only for their own phones, but selling them to many other manufacturers including if rumors hold up, the iPhone 8. • I just ordered one...happy...will sell my moto 360 gen 1 gold one Posted via my Awesome Lumia 950 , Beautiful S7 Edge Gold or Surface pro 4
  • Good to know. I just picked up a 360 sport, but am loving the screen too much. Plus it is super comfortable. Had to retire my OG 360, but at $250 for me, open box 360 sport was more of what I need. Posted via the Android Central App
  • It offers nothing different over the much cheaper Asus ZenWatch 2. It just cost more.
  • exactly!! my Asus zenwatch 2 has been great and never had any issues
  • I don't see it discounted. I bought one May 31st with a price match of Amazon at 319. It is still showing 349 in my area. Posted via the Android Central App
  • Their site shows it at $349 still. AC got my hopes up just to have my heart torn out.
