Acer bringing Liquid phones to Mexico, Liquid Leap in tow

Acer is now selling five of its Liquid Android smartphone products in Mexico, via Office Depot, in a continuing expansion of the brand to many countries in Pan America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

The Liquid Z3, Z5, S1, Z4 and E3 products are all reportedly available for sale right now, but Acer declined to offer any local Mexican prices for the smartphones. The company added that the Liquid Leap smartband will also be sold in Mexico, again via Office Depot, sometime in the fourth quarter of 2014.

In June, Acer revealed that its Liquid smartphones went on sale in Canada. Acer said today that there are now 31 markets where the Liquid smartphones are now available for sale, which exceeds the company's own predictions of 25 markets by the end of 2014.

What do you think of Acer bringing its Liquid Android phones to Mexico and is the logical next step bringing those same devices to the US?

  • I wonder if they will come to the US? >I'm the kind of guy who stops a microwave at one second to feel like a bomb defuser.
  • Doesn't look to bad. Why not bring it to US? More competition never hurt the consumer. Confused them definitely. Lol. Specs mid range?
  • Confusion definitely. I wish some of these companies would make something cheap enough for Verizon's network. I know it's a Pipedream. >I'm the kind of guy who stops a microwave at one second to feel like a bomb defuser.
  • Do they realize that the Home button is actually the Cortana symbol?
  • Im not sure who used this first, I have seen some Nexus with the same home button.
