Weekly Photo Contest Sports

It's the perfect time of year to get some great shots of sporting events of all kinds

With the major US leagues of baseball, football and soccer all going and both school and little league sports getting into swing, now's the perfect time of year to show off your sports photography. Whether you're going to be at a massive professional sporting event or just watching your child's sports practice, there are plenty of opportunities.

We want to see the best pictures you can take that meet the topic of "sports" this week.

Just like the last contest, we're opening up and offering prizes to two winners this week. And although the contest is only set to run for one week, we've got some big prizes to give away. Two lucky winners this week will get their hands on an NVIDIA Shield prize package consisting of:

  • An NVIDIA Shield device
  • Official carrying case
  • 64GB microSD card
  • An extra piano black badge
  • A Parrot AR Drone 2.0

Entering is easy. Just drop your entry in a forums post at the link below. Tell us what Android you used to get the picture, and any back story you want to add to it. We'll pick a winner Tuesday (September 24) night at 11:59 PM ET, and announce them on the blog with next Wednesday's contest.

  • Pictures must be taken with an Android device
  • Pictures must be uploaded to the contest thread. I'm not running all over the Internet to track them down.
  • You have to tell us what device you used to take the picture, and any special software you might have used. Editing your pictures is fine — this is art.
  • You must have used a valid email address to register here at AC, so I know how to contact the winner.
  • Only one entry per week per person.
  • This week's contest is only open to those in the US — sorry international folks.

Good luck, everyone!

Weekly Photo Contest: Sports

What a coincidence, I was in the Bank of America Excecutive Suite this Last Saturday at the Cardinals/Mariners game at Busch Stadium, right behind home plate. Glad I took pictures. Love that my wife owns a family company and that US Trust comped us the Suite. Exciting game too.

Aw no international entries. Ah well, I'll wait till the next time. Good luck to all who enter!

The photo contests are never international, it gets annoying sometimes

Really? I remember a photo contest being international a few months ago, maybe it changed? Hmm.

Two questions, if anyone's listening:
1) Are winners chosen randomly (it isn't stated)?
2) When is AC switching to disqus-style comments? Live comment updates & email reply notification make disqus & livefire better than whatever's being used here.

Again I ask this question. How does one upload a photo to the contest forum from a smartphone?

No answer yet in 3 months of repeatedly asking.

Apparently other people are having the problem since many entries are disqualified links that you don't want to hunt for all over the Internet

it's called a cable. Plug into pc and phone. done. you want convenience as well? what do you think this is 21st century of something.

Thanks Jerry. Installed the AC Forums App and found the photo upload in App View not Web View.

So you've successfully answered my question. Again thanks. Finally!

BTW - I was not able to see as many of the posted pics in the App View (blank squares) as I was able to see in the Web View.

At least now I can submit my photo entry without having to move my photo from my smartphone gallery to my PC which is counter intuitive for an Android (Central) Forum.

Ah, Qwest Field. Yes, I refuse to call it Century Link or Clink.

If only it had football being played on it instead of that horrible soccer. Go Hawks!

Can I withdrawal my entry and post a new one? I think I jumped the gun.
