Castle of Illusion

Disney has revived Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, a "reimagining" of the original Sega classic. The interactive puzzler has you controlling Mickey as he travels through the Castle of Illusion, trying to track down Minnie's kidnapper Mizrabel. You'll battle evil hordes of toys and navigate mazes of books in your pursuit of victory.

Features include:

  • Play as Mickey Mouse in this reimagining of the classic Sega Genesis/Mega Drive game.
  • Experience a world of wonder, brought to life with all-new graphics and magical adventures.
  • Journey across five magical worlds filled with Mizrabel's powerful minions.
  • Complete hidden challenges to customize Mickey with classic costumes.

Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse is available now in Google Play and the Amazon App Store for $9.99. If you're at all a fan of the original, it's definitely worth checking this one out.

I would... but I have it on my PS3 already. I'm sure it would be fun, but I'm not so into the game I'll pay $10 for another copy :)

If it goes on sale for $5 I'll consider it, seeing as how I was a huge (albeit guilty) fan of the original in my adolescence. Superb graphics and music for the 16-bit era! But $10 is way too much for what it is.

It doesn't appear to be available in the Amazon app store for any devices other than Kindles (at least that's my experience). That's disappointing because I have a ton of free coins that are begging to be used for this.

Same here, from buying San Andreas, which I also can't play for the same reason. I just don't understand why they'd cut out a large segment of their install base.

How do you get coins other than buying them? I heard if you buy apps you get coins? Even free app of the day?

My girlfriend and I both got this game today for our note 3's and it play's great, console quality game all the way. $10 only seems a little high because we're so used to free games or .99 cents on android. I'm old enough to remember paying $40-$50 dollars for a Sega Genesis game so honestly $10 dollars for a great platformer that plays well and is with you at all times is worth it. Ever since Google released their play cards I usually keep $10-$15 on my account for situations like this. Also love that mobile game quality is improving overall.
