Android Central 210: Fuzzy Wuzzy Was A Podcast

This is the first time I have heard their podcast. My god, I would rather watch paint dry on the wall. Good job on reviewing products and services. Stay away from broadcasting

FWIW, IMO you guys have the best "tech" related podcast I've listened to. There's a bit of dead air at times and Phil's "soft porn" music at the end sucks (the intro music however works just fine!)

Overall a GREAT job!! Keep up the great work. :)

Try to watch it live, it helps. This is my favourite mobile podcast team by far.

Well . . . I like it :-)

Yep, same. Best podcast on android, easy. I don't know, but for me whooping, laughing and high fives don't add to the enjoyment? That's why I like the AC podcast so much.

I very much enjoyed the podcast, serious questioning and answers interchange, opinions, expertise, plus the touch personal warmth and levity.

If possible, watch the video version where you can see what's happening in addition to listening.
Doing so adds context.

Love to be able to watch the video version - but for some reason feedburner (via BeyondPod) is only showing up to episode 197, when gPodder is showing that 198-210 are available on audio. To quote Kevin Sorbo ... disappointed!

When video's not available, the audio's okay to get an AC "fix", but then I miss out on some of the expressions - like Gerry's "oh my lord, here we go again". So audio is kind of "Android Central Light"...

Hence the title "Fuzzy Wuzzy Was A Podcast"

Didn't ruin the podcast. Moreover, it was resolved 10 minutes into the podcast. This type of technology works remarkably well yet not any more glitch free than your expensive TV or cellular service provider.

On the subject of using a tablet for word processing... There is still nothing to touch a macbook air. If anyone can seriously tell me they are using a device for 3k+ words a day which is significantly cheaper, and works really well then I'm all ears!

OK, I know this is going to seem like a rant, still, 2 YEARS AGO, a Nexus 4 had 2 GB of RAM, a Nexus 7 ORIGINAL, had 32 GB of flash, a Nexus 10 had QHD. So we have Moore's law, in the GPUs, in the Nexus 9, going from a dozen GPUs to 192. We've gone 64 bit, OS, core apps, release apps, which Apple did a YEAR AGO. So with normal technological progression, why the price bump ?!?! What happened to Moore's law ?!! Seems like the only progress I get, is my emails getting archived, sheer miracle I was able to find it again, my Facebook comments to my circle, not getting posted. That's just in one morning, let alone the complete shamozzle, that is Windows 8, where I have virtually abandoned the desktop. You can't even get some data from your phone, or tablet to a USB stick. I'm a freaking dip elect comp tech net admin spec, who built 200 computers, tested Win 8 for a year, before it was released. Yet, where's the UHD tablets, why's the software getting in the way, of the hardware so much ?!?!

Actually the biggest beef I have must be with the device storage. We have Flash storage prices falling not by years but by days practically, and when 64 GB micro SD costs as little as $25, we still have storage in our gadgets starting out with 16GB like we had 4 years ago. The heck, they have a lot of lower end phones having no more then 8GB of internal storage. And for these companies to buy 64 GB ssd in bulk costs them peanuts.

I try to watch live every week but missed it this week. I love the podcast and cant wait for it every week. Keep up the great work guys.

Phil why don't you talk about how cm has become just as good if not better than stock android . why cm is not head of android

I'm kind of lukewarm on these new Nexuses now. I don't think I could go any larger than my G3 and it seems that the N6 dwarfs it! BTW, the Nexus 7 has a 16:10 aspect ratio, not 16:9. So the jump to 4:3 isn't as bad.
