Green Box of Jubilation

It appears the Nexus 4's Yellow Box of Death (remember, we didn't make that up) seen by many who ordered in the Nov. 27 wave overnight has morphed into the Green Box of Jubilation, and devices are on their way. (We might have made that up.) Folks in the forums are seeing it as well, and all is right in the world.

For now ...

I was hoping that the 'national nightmare being over' was that the HTC TB was finally getting ICS. Oh well.

Nimbus79 says:

The blunderbolt will never see ICS. Verizon has no intentions of taking care of their customers who have unlimited data. The idea is to get you so pissed off and frustrated with all the random reboots, lock ups, unusable 4g that you use that upgrade and waive unlimited data. Giving us ICS would only drag out Verizon's war the consumer, they don't want that or long term customers apparently.

AND to top it off we're not compatible with GTA Vice City... yea I'll be leaving VZW shortly and looking to purchase a phone off plan and go month to month elsewhere. Seems to be the only way to f**k these greedy carriers (well that and using the shit out of your unlimited data)!

doncaballero says:

Could not agree more! I did the same thing. Moving from TB to a Nexus 4 and going month-to-month. I will never give VZ my $$ after they lured me to buy a crappy phone w/ the promise of lifetime unlimited data and then failed to support the phone AND reneged on their promise of lifetime unlimited. F Them!

I dropped my unlimited data with Verizon and moved to T-mobile's $30 a month no contract unlimited text/data plan with a Nexus4. Best decision I've made this year.

I was hoping the nightmare of XAPK Validation Failed was over for those of us who've purchased GTA Vice City...

jyemenai says:

Yes, for now. lol Wait until we all discover bits and pieces of the n4 we don't like.

S_C_B says:

Its about time someone else got to use the N4 besides me.

Reminds me of the CR-48 (ChromeBook) hoopla a couple years back.

To all those that had the Nexus 4 YBoD:
I read over at xda that someone called and spoke to a Google CSR and were told we will all automatically get a shipping refund. As in everyone that had the YBoD.

HMmm I think someone needs to get laid.

Examiner19 says:

Strange. I was lucky enough to have my 11/13 order shipped in the second wave (arrived 11/28--U.S.). I liked it so much that I ordered another 16GB for my wife yesterday (it said 4-5 weeks). Then, I received an email this morning that it has shipped! I guess they received a large batch in to cover all of the orders up to this point...or I just got lucky somehow.

John Zwiers says:

Hmm...I ordered my 16GB on 11/28 and have not received any communication.

Examiner19 says:

So, the confusion continues.

Read headline... I thought someone finally killed snookie

SportsAndTV says:

When I woke up today I had an email saying my Nexus 4 has shipped. Funny thing is, Google Now on my Nexus 7 hasn't picked up the email and isn't showing the tracking info. Works every time with Amazon.

DaeMon87 says:

sigh thought this might be saying that the nexus will be available in more countries specifically SA :/ sigh better luck next time

skyerz says:

NoreenD says:

Glad to see this, Phil! (I'm happy for you and the others.) I'm sure that it feels like it took forever! This is good news!

piizzadude says:

Here I thought they finally made another GOOD Nexus, then the nightmare would be over

Damn, when I saw the headline I thought it was going to say Obama, Reid, Boehner and McConnell had all decided to resign.

phor11 says:

Along with the entire rest of Congress.

Congress has a 16% approval rating, yet the VAST majority of incumbents won re-election in 2012? What the F*%& US voters? Are you all on crack?

Mobius360 says:

Yeah buddy saw this post, checked my email and have a tracking number. Guessing I will get my N4 Monday.

Ordered on November 28, Delivered to my door December 06 - Today. Can't wait to go home and try it. Hope it doesn't stutter and lag like my Galaxy Nexus or Galaxy S3. Pray for me fellas. I just do not want to get disappointed with my new toy.

sharmelan says:

I thought Android Army was going to come attack me, coz I said my Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Nexus stuttered a bit here and there. Guess I can duck out of my cover and walk freely again.

Is it true that they say that Android runs on emulators ? I am not an expert on this subject, so if anyone knows, please feel free to explain what does it mean to run on an Emulator.

Ordered mine on 11/27 and just got shipped today. Arrival 12/7. A few days before the 2 to 3 weeks time frame.

terryelt says:

I ordered mine on Nov 27th, but it still shows "Pending" on Google Wallet! When I ordered, it said "Estimated Ship 2-3 weeks", but I haven't heard/gotten anything from Google up till today!!!
