Mobile Nations podcast 21: Announcing Talk Mobile 2013!

Jeez, I'm not generally this negative, but I was underwhelmed by this podcast. All of the guys were so hyped, but the content was boring. Every time Kevin started to talk about what was really going on, Rene would stop him and ask Phil or Daniel something so they wouldn't fall asleep. The effect of this was: I was falling asleep. I apologize for my lack of interest, but give me the AC Podcast any day, where each person has so much to say that they all try to contribute at once. Sorry, guys.

It was a little awkward. I think maybe because, unlike e.g. the AC Podcast, all the participants seemed to be asking each other questions they already knew all the answers to before asking. They have this new event they need to push, [phil]I get it[/phil], but it wasn't the thrillingest 44 minutes of content these fine folks have ever put out.

I'm looking forward to the actual TM13 content, so, on that most basic level, I suppose this podcast "worked".

Yes, this was definitely scripted and more of a sales pitch than a true podcast.

Rene asked questions and each person knew what they were supposed to say, and anytime someone went off script, Rene brought it back to script.

I don't think future podcast's will be this scripted.

On the plus side, it did like our boy Phil was less than thrilled about the format and did little to hide his true feelings.

I only lasted about halfway...but will definitely try next weeks topic based podcast. If it's as scripted though, I don't think I'll be doing many more.
