A couple of quick improvements are hitting the Microsoft OneNote app on Android today, bringing it closer to parity with the app on other platforms. It's a short changelog, but the biggest thing to note here is that you can now create Notebooks and Sections directly on your OneDrive account on your Android devices. That's one less step to having synced notes across devices, and a big deal for Android users.

As with any other update out there, there's a handful of bug fixes and performance improvements throughout the app as well, though Microsoft isn't letting us know precisely what was changed. You can pick up the latest version of the OneNote app — version 15.0.2727.2300 based on what we see — from the Play Store at the link above.

Wooohooo! This is a great improvement. Nice to be in impromptu meetings and be able to create and categorize a note properly on my phone.

I was a very heavy Evernote user until recently when OneNote for Android was released. My be gripe with Evernote is VERY POOR editing functionality on Android. I hope MS keeps improving OneNote! So far i really like it!
