TELUS, Rogers and Bell Galaxy Notes get Android 4.1.2 update, as does the UK SIM-unlocked version

Just a few days after the AT&T model got its Jelly Bean update, other Samsung Galaxy Note variants are starting to see the update to Android 4.1.2. According to reports from MobileSyrup and XDA, the Canadian carrier-branded versions on TELUS, Rogers, and Bell all have updates waiting for them. Meanwhile on the Android Central forums, a number of OG Note owners in the UK report that their GSM unlocked Notes are getting a similar update.

The Galaxy Note Jelly Bean update brings the new Google Search app with Google Now and improved responsiveness through the "Project Butter" performance enhancements, in addition to a new UI and a selection of newer software features from the Galaxy S3.

If you've updated your Galaxy Note to Jelly Bean, hit the comments and let us know how you're getting on.

I thought it did back in January.

Using a Telus Galaxy Note

Upgraded two days ago. No problem encountered and works well.

TWO things did surprise me:
my email account's passwords, all except one, did not make it. I had to reenter the passwords.
The image I used for my lock screen was replaced by a generic image (book and plume).

... also, it might be my imagination but starting certain APP seem to be a little slower than before. (example: Google Play takes 4 or 5 seconds to show up, the email take at least 5 seconds, opening the book Alice in Wonderland takes almost 10 seconds) ...

BUT...

The overall presentation is great, better than before.
Certain widget such as the agenda and the email ones are outstanding.

I need to explore more to discover Jelly Bean better, but all in all, I am impressed.

And surprised the update was made available for GOOD OLD Galaxy Note.

Updated a few days ago on 3 uk. Initially disappointed by terrible battery life but after a few tweaks to battery guzzling background apps i am now more than happy with jelly bean. The ui is now buttery smooth and the update process went fine. After my tweaks the battery is niw better than ever before, draining at less than 1‰ per hour with light use and only 2-3‰ with moderate use. After 11 hours at work, my phone still has 80‰ battery! Marvelous!

What changes did you make? My battery life is now shocking - used to get a good day and a half, but now less than 12 hours.

First off i disabled a few apps that i never use, social hub, learning hub, samsung apps, samsung push service, google +, chat on and readers hub. The big improvement came when i cleared the data and cache from the exchange service - the better battery stats app pointed to this being the main culprit for my battery woes. I also deleted my samsung account. Hope that helps.

Has anyone in the UK received the Official 4.1.2 update for the SIM free International version of the GS2?

I keep hearing that some people have, but no dice. If the Original note gets it surely the S2 will, in the same areas.
