DocScanner S

DocScanner, an app that has over 1.5 million downloads on the iOS platform, has just launched onto Android. The basic idea behind these types of apps is simple -- scan pretty much any type of document, business card or receipt and you now have a digital copy of it. Nowadays we don't want to deal with paper more than we have to, and if there's a simple way to manage it electronically we'll take it.

DocScanner S is now available for free in the Google Play Store at the link above. There's also a paid version for $3 if you are so inclined.

DocScanner S now available on Android

I second this comment. Came to the comments to see if anyone else noticed it. I found it by just searching the Play Store anyway, which really wasn't hard by any means, but working play store link would be nice. ;)

Just goto the play store and search for "DocScanner" You'll find it.
One thing to point out though. This free version watermarks the docs. Should have been pointed out in the review.

Also incompatible with my devices (paid version $3.00). EVO3D and EVOLTE.

...and why bother with this when Android has already had CamScanner for ages? It always worked great for me, so no need to switch.

Here's something funny... It was this article who made me search the play store, where I found camscanner and ended up installing that instead.

This app is pretty cool, i tried the free version after searching for it (link is broken) and it works as advertised. It did struggle with some of my receipts though, the text enhancement could use some work (there are sadly still some dot matrix printers out there). It is handy but i wont be using it for 100% of my document management any time soon.

Doesn't appear to be ready for prime-time yet. Doesn't work on Galaxy Nexus (freezes). Others are saying the app doesn't work on their device also.

I've actually been using Scan Master, I believe it was free with no watermark and it does a really great job of transforming the picture into a quality scan. Have also used Camscanner.

It does watermark your images (paid version does not). But I agree, it is awesome. I never would have found it if not for this article.

I have been using Cam Scanner for a few years now, and have to say I have never been disappointed. Try it, and see what you think.

The paid version produces scanned documents without the watermark. It's on Google Play @ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.haave.docscanner&featu....

Reasons to choose DocScanner S over other scanner apps are

-Ultra fast digitization - the fastest scanner app available for Android OS
-Matchless, industry leading image quality produces extra clear & sharp PDFs
-Completely automatic "scanning" process, no need to manually adjust the image after "scanning"
-Easy & intuitive export to file hosting services

The article left out that it was designed for the Galaxy S series of phones/tablets, which is mentioned on the Google Play description

"Specially designed for the Samsung Galaxy S III, DocScanner S is at its best on Samsung Galaxy S series of smartphones & tablets."

This probably explains why some people are having incompatible errors. I couldn't download it on my SGS3 as the build.prop is set to Galaxy Nexus so I could get Google Wallet to work. Changing my build.prop back to GS3 fixes the problem. But I like some of the other suggested apps more.

DocScanner S for Android uses the same industry leading image processing as its iOS version. The DocScanner S image quality is superior to any other scanner app on Android.
