Batman: Arkham City Lockdown

Available in the Play Store for $5.99 (Batman) and $0.99 (Scribblenauts)

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is bringing two of its biggest mobile games, previously only available on iOS, to Android. Batman: Arkham City Lockdown and Scribblenauts Remix are now available on the Google Play Store, for $5.99 and $0.99, respectively.

In the action-adventure game Batman: Arkham City Lockdown, players set out to defeat some of the Dark Knight's most infamous enemies, along with their armies of henchmen. Jumping rooftop to rooftop and exploring Gotham City, Batman fights one-on-one with villains like The Joker, Two-Face, and Deathstroke.

Scribblenauts Remix challenges players with puzzles from previous games Scribblenauts and Super Scribblenauts, where imagination is used to bring objects to life using words and their adjectives. "Think it, create it, solve it."

Both games are compatible with select Android tablets. Follow the links after the break to find them in the Play Store.

Scribblenauts has been on Android for months via Amazon Appstore. Works great on my Kindle Fire HD.

And through the Amazon Appstore you can put it on phones too, not just tablets? I was waiting for Scribblenauts to make it to the Play Store, though I was hoping it would be compatible with my phone too :/

Yes, the version available through the Amazon Appstore can be downloaded on phones as well as tablets; I'm not sure what's up with the Play Store version having this added restriction, because it's been available this way through Amazon for quite some time now.

Both are not available in Canada.

Compatibility is a huge issue. Why are these not compatible with the latest smartphones? Why is this a problem in 2013? Google gives you the tools to render properly on various screens. You're ignoring tens of millions of customers with GS3/GS4

Already bought scriblenauts and also bought the world pass for my Nexus 10! Works great. It's a shame the the batman is incompatible with Nexus 10 :(

Yes, both games have been on Amazon for a while now. I know Amazon had an exclusive deal with Scribblenauts like they had with Jetpack Joyride. I've been waiting for the exclusive period for Scribblenauts to end as I'd much rather buy it from Google and get updates that the Amazon appstore is never likely to see. But the version on Playstore puts me in a quandry. I wouldn't mind just loading it on my N7, but I can load Amazon's version on my daughters Nabi, my N7 and my phone. The Batman game is Kindle Fire only on Amazon though.

And I like how the description on Google Play says it has 10 levels exclusive to iOS. :)
