Webdriver Torso in Android L

In a nod to the recent Webdriver Torso mystery that perplexed YouTube for several months — before turning out to be a simple video quality testing endeavor — Google's hidden a rather unusual Easter egg in the new Android L developer preview.

Tap on the Android version number a bunch of times and you'll see not a the KitKat-style wrapper of Android 4.4, but that same selection of seemingly random red and blue rectangles that mystified the web earlier this year. Oh Google, you card.

It looks like a really blocky Optimus Prime. Maybe it's just the colors that make me think of that. Plus the new movie coming out.
