Xiaomi's Mi Max is a mid-range phablet with a massive 6.4-inch Full HD display. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 650 SoC, and comes in two variants: a base model with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage, and a variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage. Other specs on offer include a 16MP camera at the back, 5MP front camera, LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS/GLONASS. The phone will also be the first to offer MIUI 8 out of the box, with Xiaomi introducing a radical change to the user interface for the first time since MIUI 5 rolled out three years ago.
The Mi Max will initially be sold in China, but will make its way to India and other markets in the Southeast Asia region over the coming months.
