Twitch for Android has just received a rather nice update, which introduces a new user interface alongside some other handy features to really ramp up the overall streaming (or rather 'viewing' in this case) experience. If you're not familiar with Twitch, it's a popular destination for those interested in video games where people can stream footage live from their computers and consoles for others to watch and enjoy.

The Android app enables smartphone owners to keep up-to-date with their favorite streamers and the latest release simply expands on the feature set available. Here's the full changelog for version 3.0:

  • A beautiful new interface.
  • Follow your favorite channels.
  • Brand new broadcaster profiles.
  • Chat on a channel, even when the broadcaster is offline.
  • Expanded search that is by channels, people and games.

It's a nice update, especially regarding the new broadcaster profiles, the ability to chat even if the streamer is offline and the improved search system. Also, no longer will you have to put up with a subpar experience on tablet devices. How are you finding this latest update?
