Pebble has released a new firmware update for its Pebble Time series of smartwatches. The update includes a new Weather app along with improvements to its health features.
Pebble stated{.nofollow}:
The weather info delivered daily to your Pebble Timeline is now also accessible on-demand from our official Weather app. Powered by The Weather Channel, get the current temperature, current conditions, highs and lows for the day, and the next day's forecast. Manage your Weather settings from the Apps tab of the Pebble mobile app.
In addition, the 3.13 firmware version works with an update to the Pebble mobile apps for some health feature improvements to the Time models:
We've enhanced the step and sleep algorithms in version 3.13 for greater accuracy. Pebble Health is now smarter when accounting for movements made while sleeping—keeping them from being logged as steps. Pebble Health's mobile graphs now include the last time updated, clearer messaging, support for 24-hour time, and more. You can keep making Pebble Health smarter and more useful by sending us feedback and bug reports. Simply select Menu » Support » Contact Support » Pebble Health in the Pebble mobile app to share your input and automatically submit relevant log files.
While the Pebble Time smartwatches are getting the firmware update, the Pebble Classic and Pebble Steel devices will remain at their current firmware version of 3.12.1. They will not be getting the Weather app or the Health improvements.
