Chromecast in the UK getting BT Sports channels

You'll have to be a BT customer, but we don't have a release date yet

It's only been a couple of weeks since the Chromecast made its way to the UK, and the content offerings for the little streaming stick have been increasing with rapid pace. The latest on the way is sports programming — yup, meaning all of your favorite football teams — from BT, which joins BBC iPlayer for UK-based content on the device.

Naturally you'll need to be a BT customer in order to get in on the sports coverage, but further information isn't yet known at this point. The Financial Times doesn't have a specific launch date for streaming sports, but you can be sure more than a few people will be making noise when it finally arrives.
