AT&T quietly reveals LG G Vista 2 via YouTube video

AT&T decided to reveal a new smartphone, the LG G Vista 2, on its YouTube channel rather than a conventional press release. The phone itself is a successor to the LG G Vista which AT&T started selling over a year ago.

The video does a decent job breaking down the hardware features of the LG G Vista 2. The 5.7-inch 1080p display can be used with the included stylus to take notes, draw artwork and more. It also includes 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The clip also shows off some of the included photo software and user interface features so owners can take the perfect image.

The video also mentions the phone has an eight-core processor but does not name it specifically. AT&T has yet to announce a release date or a price for the LG G Vista 2, but since the carrier has already posted a promo video, that information is likely to be revealed sooner rather than later.

  • Not bad.
  • "What shall we call it?... We need a name that suggests customer satisfaction and performance..." "Vista" Posted via the Android Central App
  • Wonder if Verizon will release an update as well... Nah lol
  • Have we return to the horrible naming schemes for each carrier? Posted via the Android Central App
  • Is this the LG Stylo repackaged? Posted via the Android Central App
  • Seems like it. Posted via the Android Central App on Moto X 2014/Moto G3/Moto G1/Lenovo Tab S8/ Lenovo Yoga 11 on $35 Cricket wireless plan.
  • Not bad, if this is priced decently.... Posted via Android Central App on 1+1
  • Hmm Posted via the Android Central App
  • Hopefully the price point, and battery capacity is good. I'm actively looking for a good "phablet" for gaming over Wi-Fi that is compatible with cricket. I already have a great daily driver, just prefer not to play games on it bc of battery drainage.
So $199 and 3200 mAh, and I will be a guaranteed buyer Posted via the Android Central App
  • Why not get a Zenfone 2? I'm guessing the performance will be as good or better than the 615 (or Mediatek) processor in G Vista 2, and it's unlocked, so AT&T won't be blocking updates (not that LG ever updates their non-flagship phones anyway).
  • If it had 3gb of ram and lacked LG's UI it would be probably pretty competent. Hail Putrid Pile
  • The 3gb of ram is a yes...but I kind of like Lg's UI... G3 D850
