After a little more digging, we have a working link to sign up for the Aardvark Exchange client beta for Android. Just go here, enter your email address, then confirm for opting in. Our confidence level just went up several notches.

There is a glaring irony that I have an unlocked G1 but seldom use Google for my email, calendar or contacts management. Being able to hook up and sync via Exchange would be a huge plus for me.
