HTC America president says update 'pushed a few days unexpectedly'

The T-Mobile HTC One was originally due to receive its Android 4.3 update around the middle of this week. But with no updates rolling out just yet, HTC America president Jason Mackenzie has been fielding questions from T-Mo HTC One owners on Twitter. Mackenzie says the update should now be pushing out next Monday, after it was unexpectedly pushed back a few days. So never fear, T-Mobile One owners, your update shouldn't be far away.

The unlocked versions, as well as Sprint and AT&T models have already received Android 4.3, so now we're just waiting on T-Mobile and Verizon. The latter is scheduled to get the OTA before the end of the month.

T-Mobile HTC One to get Android 4.3 next Monday

EXACTLY! I dont care if they tell me its in 3 weeks. AS long as they are communicating and giving us real timelines and date, i am happy! HTC is really stepping up their game here. Not only are they the ONLY OEM to tell us when we are getting updates (and they have been honest and accurate mostly) they also are beating samsung to 4.3 i think!! Well played HTC!

I have the HTC One Developers Edition, had 4.3 for sometime now, noticed little to any difference in endurance, its a nice upgrade. And basically as stated earlier for the most part HTC and the carriers have kept close to the promise release date.

I ditched my original Galaxy S because of horrible updates...then Samsung got a bit better with releasing them. Moved on to an HTC One X which got one VERY LATE update and will not get another so I vowed to move on from HTC and now HTC seems to at least be getting better. Oh well...hopefully a Nexus is on the horizon.

Blame Verizon (who, by the way, still doesn't have 4.3 on the One).

Posted from my pure Google Nexus 4 using the AC app.

It still has to go through Verizon, who has to add their own bloatware and then let it sit for a month (while they "evaluate" it) before releasing it.

My S-Pen went through hell to deliver this important message to you

I have it on Sprint and I have no clue as to what's different lol.

Yeah but which plan do you have to switch to if you want it?

It's a shame when all you t-mobile customers check tomorrow whatever time that is and find out it's not there. I'm a orange (ee) customer and I'm guessing it'll be end of the year before we get ours, or if android don't get a riggle on maybe next year.

This is crazy..how people still want an update riddled with bugs just because..smh
