Sony SmartBand

Sony UK is running a deal via the Xperia Lounge app through which you can get the SmartBand SWR10 for just £39.99, which is half off the smartband's retail price of £79.99.

To claim the offer, proceed to Sony's mobile store, add the SmartBand SWR10 to your cart and enter the voucher code "xl62" at checkout to receive the discount. For the time being, the deal seems to be restricted to the UK. Considering that you can pair the smartband with the accompanying Lifelog app on non-Xperia devices, the deal is a great way to grab an activity tracker on the cheap.

Anyone interested in the promotion? What wearable devices do you use for tracking your activity?

Sony UK offering a 50% discount on the SmartBand SWR10

All Fitbit/App tracks is walking/running & sleep. The Sony tracks the same in addition to all the other things you use your smartphone for. It vibrates when you get messages and calls. It looks more stylish. The band does not fall apart like the Fitbit does. It uses a standard charger instead of a proprietary one that Fitbit has. It last well into 5 days instead of 3 for the Fitbit. I could go on, but I'm sure you get the point.

So basically this thing just let's you know when you need to pull out your phone?

Actually that itself would be useful. For example, I've often missed calls and messages when my phone is set to vibrate only.

I've got a Z1 so could get this deal via the lounge app but to be honest the smartband just doesn't interest me. I'm assuming many people feel the same hence the huge discount on offer already.
