Samsung launches Galaxy S5 Mini and Galaxy Young 2 in the UK

Exactly. Maybe £15 - £20 for this as an emergency backup. I can see this phone being sold only bundled with some extreme network promotions. Anything over £50 and I'd without hesitation turn to Motorola or LG for much much better specs.

What the f#ck. That young 2 has worse specs than my galaxy ace plus from 2012 yet it has KitKat. While I'm still on GB or a buggy /jb/kk ROM. Samsung promised the ace plus jb over a year ago.
At least I'll be able to get a new phone once the contract is done.

Updating phones doesn't make then any money, releasing yet another phone with updated software does. That's why they do it every week! ;)

I didn't realize Touchwiz would run smoothly on 1.5 GB RAM. Moreover, is it enough to receive OTA updates?

This is an entry level device.

The Young 2 looks like the Centura from Wal-Mart. They are getting $99 for the Centura w/30 days of Straight Talk included. The plan includes the $45 /month unlimited talk-text & upto 1GB LTE data (then throttled to EDGE speeds). Basically that sets the Centura at the $55 (USD) price point.
Getting any more than that would certainly be a rip off...

Jussayin....
