If I were picking a new phone on Tmobile and walked into the store and saw this for $99 or the G2 for free thats no contest. Its NFL vs Pop Warner.

Agreed. Avoid motoblur, get better keyboard, and a sleeker phone. It would be the G2 for me as well.

It should be noted that this is $99 after a $100 rebate, which is issued on a prepaid debit visa card I think.

So initial outlay is $199.99.

Funny how Oct. 2008 I bought the original Cliq for my wife for $199. Now this is considered a low-end phone at $99.

Haha, I wonder who that actually applies to..

It aplllies to Samsung Galaxy S owners... Cliq2 is rockin' the Froyo!! Cliq2 over GalaxyS for the win!

June 2010 this phone would have easily been $199.99, and many people would've been drooling over it and now it's just a mid rang meh kinda phone, this innovation rate is rediculous, I LOVE IT!

Wow, better specs than the Evo Shift and it costs $50 less unless it is a first gen 1GHZ proc but I doubt it. Horrible keyboard though which is why it probably isn't being shown much.

And I wish people would quit comparing the phones released today to the stuff shown at CES with no US release dates. We probably won't see any of those dual core phones(that the OS cannot make full use of) until this summer.

This phone doesn't suck because of specs. The specs are decent. This phone sucks because it has full on motoblur. This isn't the toned down blur with a few ugly Widgets like on the. Droid X and 2. This is the full on eye sore that started the cries for vanilla Android and an end for OEM skins.

This does NOT have better specs than the Evo Shift (G2). MHz don't mean everything. The G2's processor at 800MHz is probably better than this one at 1GHz, and the G2 can easily go to 1500MHz and more.

Plus this has motoblur and a locked bootloader.

It has very good specs for a Cliq. I read Cliq and I thought it was going to be some piece of junk old 600MHz CPU but it's actually a good one.
