LG G Vista

Leaked with Verizon branding last month, the G Vista is claimed to be a "Lite" version of the G Pro 2. While there hasn't been any details regarding the specs, the latest leak reveals that the device will feature mid-range hardware.

The leak, which comes courtesy of @evleaks, mentions that the G Vista will come with a 5.7-inch 720p display, Snapdragon 400 CPU, 1.5 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory, 8 MP camera with a 1.3 MP front shooter, 3,200 mAh battery and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. From the leaked render, we can see that the device features LTE connectivity.

What isn't known at this stage is pricing or availability, but seeing as how the date on the render is given as August 7, it is likely we'll see an official launch next month.

What do you guys think of the G Vista?

Seems to be a competitor to the Samsung Mega.

Really? Vista? Not really sure why they went with that name given Microsoft's Windows Vista disaster.

The specs are not that great, but if its free on contract or something like $49.99, I can see non-power users pulling the trigger on this.

After the G3 goes back up to $199, then this might be something to look at. But, for $50 more, you can get the G3 right now. Even for the people that know very little about smartphones that's kinda a no-brainer.

The hardware is fine and will run fine, but my problem is that they are releasing a phone running outdated software. Very disappointing

Jelly bean? Ugh. I can see the other sacrifices in the name of cost but this is harder to justify.

Actually, I liked JB better because it was not a battery killer like KK. Even after a factory reset, my battery goes to hell on my RAZR M, even idling!

Late 2014 and they are still releasing a phone with JB? That's sad. Especially when phones with lower specs already ship with KitKat.
