Fring Brings Free VoIP Calls to Android

Hey, what about call quality over voip? Do you experience a sound delay? Just wondering cause I consider to move to Android OS. I'm curious how they did solve the problem making a Voip call posibility on Android OS?? It used to be imposible cause Android is based on Java.

I wonder when the SkypeOut and SIP functions will work on the DROID?

But this is a pretty awesome app...

Delay of course is there. Not horrible. Able to hold a conversation on a Moto droid without issue. Both inbound and outbound. Impressed. Need more options for sip ie. registration timeouts are way too high and a more normal port would be better. Mind you udp above 5060 is fine but 52xxx is a bit outta line. Most VoIP providers stick to a series be it 10000 thru 20000 or something similar. Otherwise. I love this thing. Can only get better from here.

We were having issues on 3g --> Wifi where my friend could hear me but I couldnt hear him. Both on cyanogen androids.

Also needs options to change ringtone/notification sounds and remove notification bar messages

download if only to support though, good app.
