Droid RAZR rooted

If you've picked up a shiny new Motorola Droid RAZR today -- be sure to read our full review -- and can't wait to get it rooted, well, you don't have to wait to get it rooted. Wicked over at Droidforums has dropped in a handy tool to do the deed. It's Windows-only for now, and we've yet to see a custom recovery or SBF file. So if you bork things up, there's no way back just yet.

JUST WAIT!... There's no rush. Don't understand folks who root on day 1. Let the method flesh itself out. Atleast try to enjoy your phone for what it is in the mean time.

I understand waiting, but it's the individual's phone and maybe rooting and hacking IS how they enjoy their phone. For what it is and what it can be.

i dont understand...the phone lets you either uninstall or hide 99% of the bloatware...if that's supposedly the main reason to root, why would you want to risk screwing up a 700 dollar phone without a way back?

silverfang77 says:

It actually lets users uninstall the bloatware? That's an about-face for Motorola.

Correct. You don't understand which means you shouldn't root your phone anyway.

Double post sorry. .

I personally want root access right away so that I can install adfree and to use widget locker the best way, you need root access. That's why I would like something like this one day 1.

rooting allows you to restore things from another android phone easily through Titanium. Unfortunately, Android does not do this well like Blackberry and Iphone. It WAS my main reason for rooting in the first place.

root is always in my mind, need it to tether.
