Acer Liquid Metal

Acer announced the Liquid Metal in the UK last month, but was mum on any availability for the United States. That seems to have (unofficially) changed as the FCC has posted documents that show the phone with AT&T 3G bands on board. The Liquid Metal is still scheduled for an October release in the UK, so it should be hitting stores sometime this week for our English friends across the pond. As for us Americans, Acer would surely love to have it out for the shopping season, so we shouldn't have to wait too much longer. As a quick recap, the phone will be sporting a 800MHz CPU along with a 800x480 3.6-inch touchscreen, WiFi b/g/n, GPS, and Bluetooth. [FCC via Engadget]

Not impressed. Omg.... can't wait until January @ CES where we can see some actual nextgen phones... starting to look like hardware will need a yearly upgrade to keep impressing Android fans. The bar is already set ridiculously high lol.

Be prepared for dual-core CPU's, LTE and WiMax galore, tablets running wild, and delicious Gingerbread for all. CES is going to be insane this year.
