Viktor Drago is headed to Creed: Rise to Glory

With the success of Creed: Rise to Glory and the imminent release of Creed II in theatres, Servios, the creator of the game, is releasing a new DLC with two new boxers for you to use in both PvE and PvP play.

What is Creed: Rise to Glory?

One of the coolest style of games for VR are those that let you physically become a character and let you use your physicality to help you succeed. Creed: Rise to Glory does exactly that by putting you in the gloves of Michael B. Jordans character Adonis Creed.

You get to play as that characters through an entire campaign based around the story from the movie Creed in a boxing simulation that is hard to beat on any platform. The attention to detail and the sheer physicality of the game makes it worth your while to pick up and play.

What's new in the DLC

This DLC is adding two new fighters from the upcoming sequel to Creed, Creed II. You can fight either character in player versus enemy (PvE) mode or, more excitingly, play as the fighters in player versus player (PvP) mode.

The first character is Danny "The Stuntman" Wheeler, one of Adonis' rivals in the original Creed and set to return in the sequel as well and the second is the main antagonist of Creed II, Viktor Drago.

Viktor is the son of Ivan Drago, the boxer in Rocky IV who killed Apollo Creed, Adonis' father, and Rocky's best friend. Viktor is trained by Ivan and is coming to the US to get revenge for Ivan's defeat at the hands of Rocky.

New physical copy and bundle

To celebrate the release of the DLC Servios has released a physical copy of the game as well as including Creed: Rise to Glory in a bundle with the PlayStation VR, the Move controllers, Move camera, and Superhot VR, one of the very best games available in VR today. You can find links to each at the bottom of this article.

The attention to detail and the sheer physicality of the game makes it worth your while to pick up and play.

It's great to see DLC happening for VR games, especially ones as good as Rise to Glory. A lot of the time game developers leave them to stand alone and move quickly on to the next project. Servios is doing the right thing here by adding free content to increase the longevity of an already excellent game. Here's hoping this is a success for them and we see other fighters from the entire Rocky franchise make their way into Rise to Glory.

The DLC will be available to download on November 27 on all platforms while the physical copy of Creed: Rise to Glory and the VR bundle are available today.
