Sony will do its thing in Berlin just hours ahead of Samsung Unpacked
It was rumored around a month ago, but now it's official — Sony will hold its IFA press conference on Wednesday, Sept. 4, just hours ahead of Samsung's "Unpacked" event. As the Berlin-based IFA is a general consumer electronics show, Sony will likely be showing everything from cameras to TVs to laptops. But on the Android side we're expecting to see the company's new flagship phone — the Xperia i1 or "Honami" — the crazy new "lens camera" accessory and perhaps another look at the Xperia Z Ultra.
With all this taking place on the same day as Samsung's big event, where the Galaxy Note 3 is expected, it's going to be a busy day for Android announcements. We'll be covering both events live from Berlin, so keep it locked to AC early next month.
