New Godfall gameplay and interview shows the Hinterclaw Valorplate, confirms no microtransactions

Godfall is an upcoming PS5 console exclusive being developed by Counterplay Games and published by Gearbox. Set in a fantastical world of knights who use artifacts called Valorplates, it's described as a "looter-slasher."

We've got some new interesting details to pour over. Arekkz Gaming held an interview with Richard Heyne, Technical Producer at Counterplay Games on Godfall. During the interview, Heyne confirmed that Godfall has no microtransactions. Heyne also talked about the design philosophy of Godfall, how loot works and more. Heyne also noted that when it came to loot, the team wanted to focus on "quality over quantity" while making sure every single piece of loot felt meaningful.

Godfall was the first official PS5 title to be revealed. Now, other games have also been announced, such as Horizon Forbidden West, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and more.

Godfall and the PS5 are both set to release sometime in Holiday 2020. We'll be sure to let you know when an official release date is announced.
