LG V10 gets strong start in the U.S. with 450,000 sold since launch

LG has announced that the LG V10 has started strong in the U.S., selling 450,000 units in its first 45 days of availability. In particular, LG says that the V10 is helped by the increasing popularity of larger phones, along with healthy interest from younger customers.

About 37 percent of V10 buyers are between 25 and 34. LG attributes at least some of the V10's success with this group to the easy creation and sharing of video content. The company also says that the phone has proven popular with white collar workers in big cities.

The LG V10 was originally announced in October, and features a 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 display. The phone also has a smaller, 2.1-inch secondary display above the main screen, which is always on, offering a quick way to check the weather, battery, and time while the main display is off. The V10 also features 4GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 808 processor. The rear camera is 16-megapixels, while the phone also features a 5-megapixel dual lens setup.
