LG Optimus 3D listed for June 20 release in UK

Amazon UK is currently listing the LG Optimus 3D (SIM-free) for pre-order, with an expected release date of next Monday, June 20. At just a penny less than £600 (~$980), the Optimus 3D certainly isn't cheap, but if you can stomach spending that much on a smartphone, you'll walk away with a dual-core device with a 3D display and 3D video recording capabilities. Check out our initial hands-on feature to take a closer look at the phone itself.

Pre-order prices and shipping dates are always subject to change, but with the listed date just seven days away, we're expecting this one to be right on the money. The June 20 date also fits with release windows from T-Mobile UK and Three (opens in new tab), who are expecting to begin selling the Optimus 3D in June and July respectively.

  • What are these companies thinking charging this kind of money for a phone? This is worse than Hyundai selling a $60,000 car.
  • hyundai has been making some pretty slick looking cars lately lol. but i agree with the phone part.
  • If I had that kind of dough to spend on a phone...I wouldn't be spending it on a phone lol. I wouldn't even spend that on a full-fledged computer. I might go up to $500-550 but...that's when pushed really far already.
  • Considering Evo 3D has all this an more, at half the price? idiots...
