HTC One M7 update released Down Under with Sense 6 on Vodafone and Optus

Just like folk residing in Canada, those who own the HTC One M7 in Australia will be able to take full advantage of a Sense 6 update now rolling out on both Vodafone and Optus. The upgrade refreshes the user interface across the entire smartphone, providing an updated Blinkfeed, overhauled camera app, and more. HTC has also done some housework around the device with moving apps onto Google Play for quicker updates.
The update will be available OTA (over the air), but be sure you have enough charge before setting off on the update path. To manually check for updates on your HTC M7, head to 'About Phone > Software Updates > Check Now'. The download size is roughly 690MB in size, which is another factor to weigh in when attempting to do this via cellular network.
Already updated? Let us know how you're getting on with your refreshed M7 in the comments.

Hooray! UK Phones4U unlocked model finally has it too. Downloading now. Been checking almost daily for weeks since you guys put up an article saying unlocked UK phones apparently had it (they obviously didn't). The UK update page has also just changed today to say the update is being pushed to customers (unlocked, O2 and Three at the moment), and other sites are reporting the UK as getting it today. Add it to the article so others are aware :)

I got it yesterday and I love it. The keyboard which I am typing on now is better yet it did not need to be since the last one was probably the best keyboard I have ever had. Also the update is amazing blink feed and all the other HTC apps have been updated. I love it, all that is wrong is that the ape app does not work yet but hopefully soon it will. Updated the other day and liked the new software, however the battery life is horrid. I wake up at 6:15am with 100% battery life and I am down to 60% by 10:00am. I have closed out programs, stopped running APPS, turned on auto brightness and sleep mode, etc... I just don't understand why it keeps draining ever since the update. Any thoughts on the situation?

I've read that a complete shutdown and boot solves the battery drain issue. All the best. Posted via Android Central App
