So, you want to learn to cook, huh? Well, while I'm not a chef myself I can certainly talk you through how to cook in Kingdom Hearts 3. This guide will cover everything you need to know from accessing the Bistro, finding ingredients, opening and selecting items to cook on Remy's menu, and how to cook with each icon.
How to access the Bistro
You can only access the Bistro when you have made your way through Twilight Town's main story. It is accessible after you protect Remy from the heartless in the main story and help him pick up his fruit. Afterwards, when you return to Twilight Town you'll meet Uncle Scrooge who will introduce Remy formally as his head chef.
Uncle Scrooge will then challenge you to find nine ingredients in Twilight Town. If you need some help, we have a guide on how to find those ingredients here.
- Go to the Tram Common area of Twilight Town.
- At the Bistro, walk to the menu in the middle of the screen and then press the button prompted on the screen to access the menu.
How to select an item to cook
There are five different sections in Remy's menu for the restaurant.
- Les Entres
- Les Potages
- Les Poissons
- Les Viandes
- Les Desserts
There will be four icons beside items that will have three question marks beside them.
- Fire
- Pepper Shaker
- Knife
- Egg
Keep in mind you have to have the correct ingredients to cook a menu item.
How to cook with the fire symbol
- Using your left analogue stick, rotate either direction to pour the liquid into the pan.
- When you feel like you've poured enough, tilt the right analogue stick down to flambé.
There is a limited time to cook, so be sure you watch the hourglass at the edge of the kitchen.
Keep in mind you have to do it before the hourglass finishes
How to cook with the pepper shaker symbol
- Using your left and right analogue sticks, tilt them down when the circles close.
- Repeat this until the mini-game finishes.

How to cook with the egg symbol
- Using your left and right analogue sticks, pull them apart to crack the egg until the screen looks like fireworks.
- Then push down on both left and right bumper buttons simultaneously to release the egg.

How to cook with the knife symbol
- Using the left analogue stick, rapidly move the stick up and down to chop the item.
- Using the right analogue stick tilt down on it to select a new item.
- Repeat this until the mini-game finishes.
You should now be able to find and unlock the bistro, learn how to select items from the menu to cook, how to cook each item depending on the icon applied to them.
