Go hands-on with NVIDIA's Shield at select locations this August

NVIDIA is offering a way for you to find out first-hand about their upcoming Shield handheld, provided you're in New York or San Francisco. At select theaters, they will have their Shield Movie Theater Experience Centers set up where you can have a little one-on-one time with the portable powerhouse on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through the month of August.

The four locations are:

New York

  • Garden State 16 – 1 Garden State Plaza, Paramus, New Jersey
  • New Roc Stadium 18 – 33 Lecount Place, New Rochelle, New York

San Francisco

  • Cupertino 16 – 10123 North Wolfe Road, Cupertino, California
  • Mercado 20 – 3111 Mission College Boulevard., Santa Clara, California

if any of these are in your neck of the woods, take a few minutes and have a look. you'll be impressed with what NVIDIA has put together. The Tegra 4 powered mini-console absolutely chews through Android games, delivering an experience that has to be seen to be believed.

  • i want Google to bring Google console asap
  • Ohhh me too. Posted from Google Nexus 7 via Android Central App
  • Used it at E3, ran Dead Trigger 2 and other games brilliantly. That being said, your better off getting the next gen Nexus 7 and a Moga.
  • Disagree...no Tegra games. Dead Trigger 2 = Tegra optimized. Posted via Android Central App
  • " Tegra Optimized™ " is code for " Qualcomm is stomping our shit so we have to invent marketing buzzwords to hide the fact our market share is sinking faster than the Titanic, the Hindenburg, and Ashley Simpson's music career combined™ " Posted via Android Central App
  • It's also code for "our chip has such great graphics abilities that most apps don't come close to take advantage of it so here are pumped up versions that take full advantage of what our silicon can do"
  • If that's code for "Tegra optimized looks better than non-Tegra optimized" than I agree. Marketshare has little to do with the visual quality of the game itself. Let's also not forget that they are still primarily a GPU company. Posted via Android Central App
  • Dude: 'New York of San Francisco'.... U better take a day off...lol
  • Am I the only one that thinks this thing is ugly/awkward looking?
