BlackBerry Priv is now even more affordable at AT&T

AT&T has slashed the price of the BlackBerry Priv by $60, dropping it down to $639 off contract. While this isn't a huge savings, it exceeds the $50 cut that BlackBerry recently did on the phone. If you are in the market for a new phone or have been eyeing the Priv but waiting for the price to drop a little, this may be your time to pick one up.

While it is great to see AT&T lower the price, keep in mind that for a limited time you can buy an unlocked AT&T variant of the BlackBerry Priv for just $450 at Daily Steals (opens in new tab), which is an even better offer.

Thanks for the tip, @kjvella!

Jared started off writing about mobile phones back when BlackBerry ruled the market, and Windows Mobile was kinda cool. Now, with a family, mortgage and other responsibilities he has no choice but to look for the best deals, and he's here to share them with you.
  • I love the Priv, Hated the lag and software issues. After having this phone, it should had never been over $599. The 808 just sucked for this phone. Posted via the Android Central App
  • The 808 sucks in just about every phone Posted via the Android Central App
  • The 808 sucks, and blows.....
  • The only phones 808 is decent in is Moto P/E, and Nexus 5x after update so I have heard. Posted via Nexus 6 running on any data plan I want
  • @Erik Johnson3 It is true about the 5X. I am typing from one right now. It goes really, really nicely since the March update. Posted from one of my various Nexus devices.
  • It's manufacturers having a hard time developing their firmware to run on it that's the issue. The X pure is a speed demon. IDK about the 5X now, but apparently the latest update last month cleaned up all the issues as well. From what I've seen LG also surprisingly optimized the hell out of the V10 too Any mobile device with 2 cortex A57 cores in this day and age doesn't suck....or blow, lol
  • It's perfectly fine on Moto XPE and V10. Moto XPE/VZW Moto X DE/N7
  • Wrong. The X pure runs like a beast, and surprisingly LG did a great job optimizing the V10 too. It runs like a champ
  • Lol 808's and heartbreaks Posted via the Android Central App

  • Yup. Last year SnapDragon processors really screwed up most major phone releases. Posted via my S7e/ Note 4/ iPad Pro 12.9
  • +1 Back on Android! Didn't take too long. Galaxy Note 4, AT&T of course.
  • I know they are entitled to do any effort to save their company, but get it down to 400 already...
  • The priv is in no way a 400$ device that's like 16gb iPhone SE's easily a top 5 device at most carriers. The only Android phones at my store that are superior to the Priv are the Galaxy and Note devices, the v10 and the G5. It's better than an M9, better than any of LGs cheaper offerings, better than the Microsoft phone... Blackberry made a really nice Android phone and it deserves some props. Great display, 2TB of possible memory expansion, excellent battery life (really), physical keyboard that slides matrix style... It's a $600 phone. Easily. Galaxy s7 edge
  • Keep telling yourself that. Reviews and sales speak for themselves. At 639 you're better off getting an s7. Posted via the Android Central App
  • I agree with that. Posted via the Android Central App
  • No thanks, still too expensive.
  • The title "Even more affordable" suggests that at $699 it already was affordable. A $200-$300 phone is affordable; a $699 phone isn't.
  • Sorry for your tax bracket Posted via the Android Central App
  • Ouch. Looks like next year for hockey for us Posted via Nexus 6 running on any data plan I want
  • If you are talking about the flyers we are not done yet!
  • Get the fork out. Like the optimism though. Posted via Nexus 6 running on any data plan I want
  • Man, QWERTY keyboard is really tempting but I don't know if it's worth considering anymore.. With the likes of the s7/edge and HTC 10 :/ Posted via the Android Central App
  • I have been struglling to unlock my ATT Moto X 2013 to install custom ROM and its a no go till now. So, dont buy it from ATT or even Priv because its not possible to unlock bootloader at this point
  • Not everyone cares about unlocking bootloaders. Posted via the Android Central App
  • I'd guess most don't care about unlocking bootloaders or rooting, definitely a niche interest. Posted via the Android Central App
  • On what planet is this a $700 phone? Wow!
  • Are they paying you to take it yet? If not the answer to should I get it is still no Posted via the Android Central App
  • It's now slightly less overpriced. Posted via the Android Central App
  • Would buy a flagship device for 700 Dollars but no outdated Priv with it's 2MP camera lol Posted via Android Central App
  • I wouldn't call a $60 reduction a price slash on a still over priced phone!
  • Slashed?
  • Lol.... More like a nick Posted via the Android Central App
