ZTE Nubia X6

13MP front facing camera and up to 128GB on-board storage

ZTE has announced a new smartphone for its native China that really is one for the spec junkies. The 6.44-inch display is 'only' 1080p, but everything else gives cause for excitement. It packs the latest Snapdragon 801 CPU, 3GB of RAM, upto an incredible 128GB of on-board storage and a pair of 13MP cameras. That's right, front and back.

The front facer has an f/2.2 lens with backside illumination and video auto-focus to help you take possibly the best selfies around. The rear camera has an f/2.0 lens with OIS and dual-flash.

We're not likely to see the Nubia X6 officially launched in Europe or the U.S., but at the equivalent of $640 for the top end model it also looks like great value for money.

Heck, might as well made it 6.5 and call it a day. Really the other only phones that size are the Samsung Galaxy Mega, and the Sony Ultra.

And if it doesn't sell well then it will go to show that people don't really want more storage

I don't think it's bad to have that option available for the people that do want it though.

I agree! Smartphones are mini computers, people like to have 250-500+gb's on a PC, why not on a pocket PC, which is what a smartphone is! People need to stop differentiating between storage on a smartphone and a PC. I don't even use computers anymore, Microsoft and PCs are past tense to me.

But this is Android Central, where every single post is about Samsung, and, for some reason, Apple.

Finally a company who gets on board storage needs. Whoever gets this will be a beast in the Selfie Olympics.

And my list of phones to consider buying when in Beijing in May just had a new contender rise to the top... 128GB! Although I'm still intrigued by the Find 7, but the nicer of the two Find 7's may not be out by first week in May.

According to GSMArena, the battery is 4,250Mah. Yes, 4,250... ZTE is definitely got a contender on their hands.

For the more mainstream crowd if this was available in 5.5" or 5", I could see it being a great, cheaper, alternative people would jump on here in the state's, especially with Tmo...

$460 for a 32GB model and no contract is a steal for this thing. And the 64GB option is only $565...

64GB is the Sweet Spot for storage... It gives you roughly 57.7 available. Why not make some money and do an exclusive at BestBuy here in the U.S.? Drop that price to $599.99 and you would have some interest.
