Vibrant on Bell

Bell announced today that it has begun to sell the Samsung Vibrant, bringing the Galaxy S to yet another North American carrier.

If you're looking to buy the Vibrant on Bell, you can either purchase it with a 3 year contract at $149 or without a contract at $499. Bell will also enter you in giveaways if you buy one, including a Samsung 55" LED TV (buy before September 3rd) or Lady Gaga tickets.

The Vibrant marks the first Galaxy S to hit Canada, which will be followed soon by the Captivate on Rogers. Canadians have already received good news this morning as the HTC Desire is now available on Telus. [Bell]

I don't get why Bell has a freaking 3 year contract?
Do they get upgrades every year and a half or something? That's the only time it's worth it.

It used to be that you got upgrade credit that increased every six months in $50 increments. Not anymore. I'm 1 year into a 3 year contract and don't get credit until December 2011!!!

Gonna try a few tricks this weekend to try and get one without paying full price. If it doesn't work I may just go to Telus and get a Desire.

ATTENTION

Best Buy has the GSV on sale for $99 on a 3 year term until the 19th.

per Bells website, you can opt for a 1,2, or 3 yr plan or none at all...of course, the prices vary based on that.

for a 3 year term, the phone is $149. $499 with no contract.
