Verizon LG G Pad 8.3

Though many may have forgotten that the device exists, Verizon has just started pushing out an Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to the LG G Pad 8.3. The update that started rolling to unlocked G Pad 8.3 customers back in April is now on the Verizon model, bumping things to KitKat, changing the visual styling of the interface (including Immersive Mode) and adding the Knock Code lockscreen option.

The update should be available OTA (Over The Air) to everyone shortly — be sure to let us know in the comments if you've already pulled the update down and installed.

Well.. I know sometimes Verizon takes crap for late updates unfairly, this though is not one of those times

Very true...I waited over a year for an update from verizon before so I know the feeling when it actually comes.

Hmm, April for the regular version was already pretty slow/late as it is, tho acceptable (five months post KK release), tacking on an extra three months of testing or bureaucracy an LTE/data only device seems wholly unnecessary.

installing now - got this tablet with the lg3 from verizon - it was a bit of a no brainer, with just the tablet data add on the only question

I always worry about updates, especially when things are working the right way.

Same here, switched out from Tab Pro 8.4 and Note 3, and I'm certainly glad I did.

Using this tablet on T-Mobile, hope the update doesn't mess that up.
