TP-LINK launches Neffos smartphone brand with C5 series smartphones

TP-LINK, the Chinese company popular for consumer and SMB networking products, has announced a smartphone brand – Neffos – and introduced the Neffos C5 series of smartphones.

The Neffos C5 series is TP-LINK's maiden generation of smartphones and includes three dual-SIM 4G smartphones running Android 5.1: the C5L, C5, and C5 Max.

The entry-level Neffos C5L sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor with 1GB of RAM. The Neffos C5 has a 5-inch HD display and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor with 2GB of RAM. The high-end Neffos C5 Max packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor with 2GB of RAM.

According to TP-LINK VP Justin Tu, Neffos is something of an experiment for the company:

Neffos C5 Max

The three smartphones will come in Dark Grey and Pearl White colors, and the pricing will be announced closer to the launch, which is expected around the end of Q1 2016.
