Information is all around us, whether it's in text, colors or designs, but it can sometimes be hard to capture it with just a single photo. This week's photo contest, following the prompt "information," is asking you to do just that — and we're certain you can all take great pictures that follow the lead this time around.
Another Weekly Photo Contest has come and gone, this time filling up the forums with all of your photos that fit the prompt of "smooth." We received dozens of great entries from a variety of scenes and subject matter that fit the prompt, but we had to narrow it down to just two winners. Read along with us and see the winning entries.
Our latest weekly photo contest was for the prompt "sweet," and we're happy to say there were dozens of very sweet pictures entered. Our forums post for the contest filled up with tons of great pictures of all kinds. In the end we had to bring it down to just two winners, but we think they're quite worthy of receiving prizes. Read along and see the winners this week.
There are times for rough edges, but other times we want everything to go smoothly — and this week we're looking for photos that follow the idea of "smooth." There are more than a couple ways to illustrate the idea of smooth, and we're looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
We're coming up on Valentine's Day weekend, and that means we're all likely to see a bit more sweetness in our lives. There will be candy, and maybe time spent with a significant other or family members — and we want you to use this opportunity to capture a picture that meets what you would call "sweet." It shouldn't be too tough, and we're looking forward to seeing what entries you can come up...
This week's photo contest was following the prompt "construction," and more than a few of you were able to build a great photo to submit for a chance to win. You filled up a forum thread with wonderful and interesting pictures, but in the end we had to narrow it down to just three that were worthy of taking home a prize.
Residential and commercial expansion just keeps moving along, and whether you're in a dense city or a suburb you'll undoubtedly see new structures and renovations taking place. We want you to try and capture the idea of "construction" best you can for this week's contest, and we're looking forward to seeing what you can show off.
We'll be picking out three winners this week, with each taking...
We went with a topic this week, "looking up," that could be interpreted in a few different ways, and thankfully that led to photo entries that covered a wider range of topics. We received over 100 entries filling five pages in the forums, but we were able to narrow it down to the two winners that will be taking home prizes. Read along with us and see the winners this week.
Whether it's in the physical world peering toward tall buildings or in an emotional sense thinking of a role model or a relative, you're always looking up in one way or another. That's the inspiration for this week's photo contest, where we're looking for photos that capture the idea of "looking up." There are a few different directions you could take this contest, and we're excited to see what...
This was a throwback week, of sorts, as we were looking for your best "vintage" photos in order to take home prizes in the latest photo contest. Four full pages in the forums filled up with entries showing all sorts of cool old items, from trains to coffee pots and everything in between. In the end we narrowed it down, and two folks will be getting a prize this week for their entries. Read...
Liking the look of old things isn't just for hipsters — it's okay to appreciate the past and integrate some of those items or looks into your life today. Whether you're a fan of the old world charm or have more of an eye for modern conveniences, you can appreciate vintage items — and that's why this week's photo contest prompt is "vintage."
For their winning pictures this week, two entries...
We're in between major travel sessions here at Android Central, so it was fitting that we had a photo contest that focused on your own travels. This week's contest drew in four full pages of entries in the forums, and in the end we narrowed it down to the two that are taking home prizes. Read along with us and see the winners.
Coming off of a week where nearly everyone here at Android Central was traveling, we thought there was no better prompt for this week's contest than "travel." Whether you flew internationally, across the state or just took a road trip to see family or friends, we're sure that you have a travel picture or two to show off this week and we can't wait to see them all.
Considering how locked down we all were with CES last week we ran this photo contest for two weeks, and considering the number of great entries we got we're glad we did. The forums were packed full of great photos taking four pages in the thread, and in the end we somehow came down to picking just two winners. Read along and see which two were worthy of prizes this week.
We hope you're all coming back from a great holiday week ready to take some photos and win more prizes. We're going from bright sparkles in the last contest to "darkness" for this one, and even though it's on the opposite end of the spectrum we're sure you can take just as many great shots. With all of the craziness surrounding CES next week, and the lack of a contest last week, it made sense...
It was a week full of sparkles, and that was just what we were looking for. You all filled up five full pages of photo entries into this week's photo contest, all fighting to pick up one of two Nexus Players. In the end we had to narrow it down, and came down to picking the two winners.
No matter the situation, our eyes are always drawn to flashy and bright things. That's particularly true this time of year, with holiday decorations in full force throughout December. That's why we're going with the prompt "sparkle" this week, and we're sure there will be no shortage of subject matter for you to shoot in the coming days.
In hopes of brightening up the holidays for the winners...
We're back to Wednesday already, and that means it's time to announce the winner of the last weekly photo contest. Once again we put ourselves in a tough spot by having just one prize to give away, increasing the competition, but in the end we're happy with our decision. Read along and see our winner this week.
We all grew up being told by our parents that it's best to share with others, and while it didn't seem like the best idea when we were kids being forced to let others use our toys, we sure know it stands true as adults. That's why this week we're going with the prompt "sharing" for our weekly photo contest, and we think it opens up the door for a wide variety of pictures to be taken.
Another week marching toward the end of the year, and this week's photo contest came to close with dozens of great "fog" photos filling up the forums. Our job was tough this week having to pick just one winner, but the upside of that qualification is that we got to give away a Moto G (2014) to the winning photographer — a pretty great prize. Read along and see who won this week!
