We've heard about the Acer Android Netbook for so long that it's almost surprising that it's now a reality...sort of. You can pre-order the Acer Android Netbook right now on Amazon for the netbook-ish price of $349.99. The Acer Aspire One D250 will dual-boot Android and Windows XP and pack your typical netbook specs: 1.66 GHz Intel Atom Processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB HD, and 10.1" display. Battery life is supposed to hit 9 hours (or just around your T-Mobile G1. zing!)
There's no ship date listed but we're hoping this comes out very, very soon! Who's going to buy this Android netbook?

Can someone tell me why I should want Android on a laptop? Seems like a great idea for Android developers but what about the rest of the world?
Agreed, why would you want Android on a netbook? I think you'd be better off with Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.04. That's what I've got on my System76 Starling netbook and it's fantastic!
$350 seems a fair price.. and since i trust amazon.. i think i will pro-order one. thank you. :)
I don't think I can get used to another multi-touch gesture set up. But the price is quite reasonable. I definitely just considered buying before imagining using it's physical set up.
