LG Optimus Vu

Tired of big black slabs? How's about a nice big white slab? The LG Optimus Vu is bringing its 5-inch, 4:3 aspect ratio in white starting next week, the Korean manufacturer announced today. As you'll recall from our last encounter with this massive beast at Mobile World Congress, the Optimus Vu is a stylus-happy phone/tablet hybrid that pretty much was a direct response to the Samsung Galaxy Note. It's not all bad, but boy howdy is it ever big.

We've still got no idea if it'll ever hit the States, nor do we really know if that'd be a bad thing.

Meh, the Note looks nice, but this one is kinda fugly...

I'm thinking the galaxy nexus size is the sweet spot. Put an edge to edge display on the nexus and that'll be a perfect sized 5 inch screen.

Has the the Vu broken even yet?

Would be all right for web browsing, probably even better than a 16:9 screen in that regard. But, I agree it doesn't look very nice. It is just so wide. Although I think the Note is ugly too so who knows. I feel the corners are a little too sharp.

Big?!?!?! Obviously, it's not big because the girl in the picture is holding 3 of them with her tiny girl hands. (sarcasm)
