Acer's brought its brand-new entry level Liquid Glow smartphone here to Mobile World Congress. Not a whole lot to write home about -- 3.7-inch display and a 5MP camera. But it's available in pink, white or black and has NFC. So it's got that going for it, which is nice.

The Acer Liquid Glow will be available this summer.

Well done Acer. A sweet entry level phone with a contemporary OS and specs. Good to see that lower-end devices are now coming with WVGA.

Is it going to receive total consciousness on it's death bed?

Why 4 capacitive buttons on a phone launching with ICS?

DrDoppio says:

Because it's only got a 3.7'' screen and it would be imprudent to waste space for soft buttons? Or because some of us consider hardware buttons at a predifined, unmoveable location on the phone, superior from an ergonomics point of view?

umm i think he was asking why the phone has FOUR capacitive buttons as opposed to the 3 used for ICS, not about why it has capacitive buttons. nevertheless, your response gave me a chuckle =)

I kinda like the overly large (read: hard to miss) widgets for missed calls and messages. That might be kinda cool. Any other apps out there that do that?
